Following our successful Indian Cooking Class in August, this time we will experience the culinary side of Casablanca, Morocco, as we head to Marrakesh Palace in Dupont Circle (21st and P) to learn the flavorful cooking of Morocco!
Moroccan cuisine has long been considered one of the most diversified cuisines in the world, and draws its taste from a mix of Arab, Berber, Moorish, Middle Eastern, African, Iberian, and Jewish influences. Aromatic spices are used in many dishes such as cinnamon, cumin, turmeric, ginger, paprika, coriander, saffron and mint.
Marrakesh Palace is below Pasha, and is a beautiful, authentic venue. Chef/owner Jamal Bazzoud and his partner Ben will demonstrate the cooking of a full moroccan meal, teaching us the intracies of preparation, and the secrets of the spices. Once demonstrated, we'll be treated to the meal we just learned to cook. And each dish will be paired with a red/white wine.
YES, WINE IS INCLUDED!!!!
The 4-course menu for this event will be posted shortly.
We have a LIMITED number of spots so make sure to RSVP early! This will be a 3-hr event, and a demonstration class, not a hands-on class.
