Not sure what happened to the demonstration of nigiri & it was kind of confusing to receive recipes with different instructions than those demonstrated for us, but i had fun.

This was my first experience with a Meet up event and I was underwhelmed and left early. The host Kelly was friendly and thankfully she walked around about an hour into the event to sort of break the ice and get folks chatting. The event started 20 minutes late with the explanation being to wait for those with parking issues. I am fine with starting 5 or 10 minutes late but after that it just becomes rude for those that made it on time. I've been to other sushi demo's and this one just was not setup in a way so that we could see or hear the instructor well. Once these issues get worked out, it could be a fun event there.

The demonstration was good, the chef was very accomodating in answering all questions. One dish (the bastilla) was probably too complicated for practical use, but maybe some other people got something out of it. The food was just amazing, though. We also got free wine because the chef was running a bit late, which was thoughtful.

Very nice venue, talented chef. Not all seats could easily see the demonstrator.

Really fun to chat with the people at our table. The event brought interesting people together. The food was good and chef shared some useful tips. However, the group was large and the room was noisy so that it was difficult to see or hear the cooking demonstration.

Old House vineyards had a very charismatic host and beautiful scenery. I would have loved to spent a bit more time walking around but enjoyed the winemaker's tour. After the tour, we were rushed through the tastings in order to get to the next place. I would have liked to sit and enjoy each wine a bit longer. Grey Ghost was charming and the winemaker was a very knowledgeable and entertaining host. It was clear they have had many large groups and knew how to work the group. Again, I would have liked to have more time to taste each wine and enjoy.

What a bang for the buck! Lots of great food, wine, and a gift certificate for more! My omly complaint was that there wasn't enough space for all of us that were there, which made it hard to hear and see the demonstration. Maybe a microphone and a mirror over the table would have helped those of us in the back...

I appreciated how JT tried to keep to the schedule but built in flexibility that allowed everyone be a part of the tasting but also time to purchase wine if people wanted.

Pretty cool, it was my first meetup event. It was hard to see the actual cooking though, cooking classes should have a mirror above the chef! Very interesting though, there's a lot to Indian cooking.

It was a lot of fun. Of course I wouldn't mind some "How to Cook..." that are also interactive. I know it cost more but I'd be willing to go to those kind of events as well as just the demonstration cooking classes.
